From One Land Cruiser to a Thousand Stories
Landing Expeditions was founded in 2009 by Abdallah Mwanaalia, a guide who spent ten years leading trips for international operators before deciding Tanzanians should tell their own story.
He started with one rebuilt Land Cruiser, a borrowed office above the Arusha sakina, and a simple promise: every guest would be treated like family, not a booking number. Fifteen years later, that promise still drives us.
Today we operate a fleet of custom 4x4s, a dedicated mountain crew of 60, and partnerships with Tanzania's finest lodges — but we are still family-owned, still Tanzanian.
